"Marble “the Model With Birds” By Dominique Bianchi (1864-1912)"
Exceptional!!!! Rediscovery of the unique work: "The Birdcatcher" executed by the famous Italian-French sculptor Dominique BIANCHI for the Salon des Beaux Arts in Paris in 1906, the plaster model having been exhibited in 1904. In Carrara marble and patinated and gilded bronze (birds), it is in perfect condition without any accidents or missing parts, signed on the terrace by the artist. Dominique Bianchi was born on January 21, 1864 in Alfedena (Italy) and later became a naturalized French citizen. He was a student of Hiolin, Alexandre Falguière and Albert Maignan. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1897 to 1911, and obtained an honorable mention in 1898, a bronze medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1900, and a third medal in 1910.
