Rare set of 12 amethyst-lined crystal wine glasses, Art Deco period, Cristallerie de Nancy. The Cristalleries de Nancy were founded in 1921 by Jules Bayet, who worked for more than 15 years at Baccarat. They were mainly specialized in bottling, particularly for the perfumer Coty, very fashionable at the time, but also produced other products such as these glasses. The 1929 crisis put an end to the international expansion of the brand and the bankruptcy took place in 1934. Clear crystal stem and foot, purple-lined chalice, with acid-etched frieze decoration on a frosted background of stylized flowers. Each glass is stamped under the base. Height: 19 cm / Diameter at the base: 8 cm / Diameter at the top: 8 cm. Perfect condition. A shape and subject characteristic of the Art Deco style, a magnificent color!!!
