Restorations.
Chest of drawers with a carved wooden front in its own color, comprising two drawers with metal handles and keyholes, above two doors with handles and locks similar to the previous ones, and a carved top. The figurative elements (male and female busts) appear within plain tondos, with simple geometric elements overhanging the rectangular areas in which they are located. The sides feature simpler carvings, based on simple moldings, and the lower part features wave-like work. This type of figurative bust is very common in the European Renaissance (compare, for example, the Plateresque sculptures of Calderón, made in 1524 in the choir of the Cathedral of Sigüenza, with the Portuguese desks of the 16th century, the sides of the Azay-le-Rideau chest in the Louvre Museum in Paris, etc.), the elements surrounding these busts typically varying within the tondos. The shape of the piece of furniture, unusual in the Spanish school of the time, is also striking. -
