Great Length (2.03 M) for this Flat Desk with Espagnolettes, Cressent Model .. from the end of the 19th century: Called Minister's Desk .. It is in Rosewood Marquetry. It is Double-Sided, the visitors' side has the same handles and lock entries. It opens on the front with 3 large Drawers which close with a Key. Superb Ornamentation of gilded Bronzes, Descents in the Corners, Handles and Lock Entries, Mustaches .. The Top is covered with New Havana Leather, gilded with small iron, surrounded by a Large Bronze Astragal with 4 superb Spandrels in the Corners. The sides are decorated with impressive gilded Bronze Masks. It rests on slightly arched Feet and shod with large Clogs in the shape of Lion's Paws, in Gilded Bronze. Our Minister's or Cressent's Office measures 2.03 m in length, 1.03 m in width and 84 cm in height. It is in very good condition.
