Beautiful Late 18th Century Chinese Red Lacquer Furniture Panel Decorated With Gold, Finely Carved With Scenes

Rare and fine furniture panel carefully made on a healthy sculpted curved wood in a well-worked protruding border highlighting on a red lacquer background scenes of life outdoors and indoors in a cartouche on the right in a truncated round shape. We see a wise man in his house and for the scene under the shade of the trees three characters discussing and evolving in an ideal setting a legend at the top left justifies the scene. This remarkable piece of furniture is of an exemplary finish and in a semi-precious wood with tight fiber (fruit), a beautiful decorative element well preserved and very refined in very good condition of Chinese origin from the very end of the 18th century, a curiosity from Asia (brought to France in a suitcase).
