Beautiful Large Wall Clock, Carved Gilded Wood Signed By Nils Flodquist In Stockholm, Early 20th Century

Rare Swedish Antique from the famous Swedish Watchmaker Nils Foldquiste in Stockholm from the beginning of the 20th century. This remarkable cartel clock with platinum movement in bronze and balance is equipped with a brass bell striking the hours. With a yellow enameled dial with Arabic numerals, it is protected by a curved glass door for the convenience of setting the time and winding. In pure Louis XVI style, and in a bright, matt gold, it is by its size and its ornamentation furnishing and of great elegance, the knots shells draped flowers, falls, large pearls of the dial all give this beautiful luminous piece a place of choice. The sculpture and the gilding are prodigious and very neat, the classic style of the Reign of Louis XVI; well respected, it is a piece of choice decorative useful and very beautiful; the mechanism has its key and its balance and this piece is in good condition
