"Napoleon III Period Carved Mahogany Console"
Console in solid mahogany and mahogany veneer. It rests on two curved legs joined by a spacer with a basket of flowers in the center. The belts are scalloped and curved. The whole is richly carved, flowers, foliage, medallions and scrolls of acanthus leaves. The front crosspiece is decorated with a bird. The piece of furniture is topped with its royal red marble from Flanders, bordered by a bec de corbin molding.
