Biography:

Constantin Jean Lucien Antonin Font, born January 11, 1890 in Auch and died January 25, 1954 in Paris, is an orientalist painter of genre, nudes, landscapes, sculptor and French engraver.

He was a student of Fernand Cormon.

After obtaining a mention in 1910 at the Salon, he obtained a silver medal in 1921, the year of his Prix de Rome. He exhibited the same year at the Salon des artistes français.

Since then, he has featured with honor at the events of this Society, where he was awarded the gold medal in 1922.
Grand Prix d'Athènes. Member of the Académie des Fine Arts of Toulouse, member of the institute in 1926, Grand Prize of the International Exhibition of 1937. Constantin Font produced numerous portraits, nudes and landscapes in which a certain sensuality emerges. The vibrant brushstrokes, marked at the beginning by a neo-impressionist palette and technique, make his painting vibrate.
