Refined desk set consisting of a central inkwell and a pair of matching candlesticks, in finely chased gilt bronze and cloisonné enamel with foliage decoration on a midnight blue background. The inkwell, mounted on an oval tray resting on four feet, is decorated with two small seated putti framing a covered inkwell in the shape of an urn with two handles. The interior has a glass cup. The candlesticks, delicately crafted, are supported by figures of children in the round, also enriched with cloisonné enamel friezes on the bobeches and bases.
