GILT BRONZE CANDLE HOLDERS MODEL CALLED "AU ROI" FRANCE19TH CENTURY Pair of Louis XV style gilt bronze candlesticks, model called "au Roi". The base is scalloped with three steps, the foot in reversed ogee with ribs; the shaft has narrow gadroons in the center, ending in a tulip with fluted gadroons; the bobèche has a beaded edge. Numbered 5161 under the base and stamped with several "J" under the beaded flat part linking the foot to the shaft. Very good condition - patina of use (traces, marks; see descriptive photos). Total weight: 2.125 kg.
