Scent bottles
Antique scent bottles are small containers, often made of glass, crystal, porcelain or precious metal, designed to contain and transport odorous substances such as perfumes, essences, scented oils, aromatic vinegars or smelling salts. They were very widespread from the 17th to the 19th century, especially among the wealthy classes and the bourgeoisie, and were often displayed as refined decorative objects.
