France, Rouen, 19th century

A near pair of polychrome, hand-painted, heart-shaped ceramic tulip or piqué flower vases.
In the typical Rouen colors, they depict foreign figures in their original habitats, either in the Orient or in America.

These simple and rare models of spouted flower holders, with a single row of spouts, scrolled handles and a flat clover body, are inspired by Delft designs.

In good condition.
A very close pair, with old paper labels on the underside.

Dimensions: 20.2 x 18.5 x 7 cm / Weight: 696 and 621 g
