Beautiful chime in rosewood veneer and maple marquetry. Ogee frame, glass front. Decorated with scrolls, fillets, and ebonized wood rods. Large enameled dial with Roman numerals, signed Pernet in Nîmes. Gilded brass bezel with gadroons. Stamp varnish. Mechanism serviced by a watchmaker, sold with instructions. Circa 1825.
