Antique Poplar Wood Wardrobe

We present this fantastic Italian antique wardrobe from the mid-19th century, from the Louis Philippe period. A wardrobe with a timeless antique charm!

Made of solid poplar wood in a splendid light shade reminiscent of honey, easy to match with any furniture color. Characterized by a very linear structure without excessive ornaments, a turned decoration on the front creates a frame on the sides and softens the linearity. The doors and sides are characterized by geometric panels. Equipped with two doors and a practical drawer in the lower part for additional storage possibilities. Internally we find a shelf in the upper part and a rod for hanging clothes, note that the interior can be modified according to your needs by adding shelves, the request must be made before ordering. A curiosity: originally the shelf positioned at the top was called a hat rack because it was intended for storing hats.

The wardrobe will be shipped disassembled, assembly is not included in the delivery but we can provide a support video. Consider that this is a wardrobe whose assembly is very simple because it is divided in half into two single bodies.

This wardrobe tells a part of the history of Italian furniture, this type of wardrobe was very popular in the 19th century by families in northern Italy. Although in our opinion it is perfect for decorating a country or mountain home, its ancient charm can also give warmth in a modern city environment.

In terms of conservation, the wardrobe is in good general condition with signs of wear compatible with its age. The interior is lined with paper that has defects of wear but it is possible to remove it to replace it.
