Mahogany Burl Sideboard, Restoration Period – Early 19th Century

This mahogany burl veneered sideboard opens at the waist with a large, slightly concave drawer fitted with an authentic lock with inlaid entry and key. This drawer is highlighted by a lemon tree fillet and a double molding. Below, the double door, fitted with a top and bottom lock with inlaid entry and a joint cover, is inlaid with ebony and lemon tree compass rose motifs. The interior has a shelf. The whole rests on a plinth with a groove and fillet ending in ball feet at the front. The top is topped with an old silver gray marble slab. Very decorative and of good dimensions, this sideboard will easily establish itself as the centerpiece of your interior furniture. ********* Period: Early 19th century Excellent condition.
