Fernand Liénaux, 1897-1980, Belgian painter, draftsman and illustrator. Student of Alfred Moitroux, later training in the studios of the painter Van den Houten and the sculptor Vanderstock at the University of Labor of Charleroi (1914-1917). Predilection for landscapes, figures, folk subjects. His landscapes are inspired mainly by his own terroir but also by Flanders, the Netherlands and Brittany where he was very active. First a teacher at the Athénée de Mons, then an inspector of plastic education (1931-1957). Published various works to improve the teaching of drawing in schools. Works at the Musée de La Louvière.
