Rare panoramic image theater with a wooden chest and a chromolithographed facade by Raoul Vion depicting the interior of a Trans-Siberian railway carriage and its occupants, intended to be exhibited in front of a light source, and equipped with two rollers allowing a chromolithographed strip containing 18 successive scenes to scroll. These scenes represent: 1. Paris. The Departure. 2. The Harvest. 3. Level Crossing. 4. Apple Picking. 5. Brussels. Porte de Hal. 6. Brussels. Place Royale. 7. Germany. View of Cologne. 8. Berlin. King's Palace. 9. Russia. Wolf Hunt. 10. Saint Petersburg. 11. Steppes. 12. Moscow. Red Square. 13. Bear Hunt. 14. Irkutsk. Convoy of Deportees. 15. Russian Dance. 16. China. The Great Wall. 17. The Summer Palace. 18. Beijing. Without the instructions on the inside of the box cover, which are missing here. The frame is not original; tears restored to the paper strip, with minimal losses in places but good condition of the roll and colors. We have only found one copy of this theater, at the Cinémathèque. Very rare.
