Important Gilded Wood Frame.
This large wooden frame is carved on the lower crossbar with 6 imposing quadrangular flowers. On each side, ivy branches with balls are carved into the base of the uprights, above which rise fluted pilasters topped with a pretty Corinthian capital on which rests a die carved with a large, also quadrangular flower. Between its dice, the upper crossbar is molded in the lower part with heart stripes and in the center are carved two long alternating ribbons of flowers and small bouquets meeting in the middle with a winged cherub's head. In the upper part, runs a long row of dentils as well as an ogee. At the top, an animated pediment centered with an angel's head with outstretched wings. The gilding is largely original. This imposing and beautiful frame dates partly from the 17th century and would have been reworked during the 19th century.
