"Lovely Burl And Rosewood Inlaid Jewelry Box Marquetry And Mother-of-pearl Box"
Lovely rectangular box with cut sides in Amboyna burl and rosewood marquetry. Its slightly domed lid, decorated with a brass rod, is inlaid in its center with a numbered brass plate highlighted with an iridescent mother-of-pearl garland. It still has its lock and working key. It opens onto a beautiful interior lined with fine purple moiré silk. This is a refined production from the 19th century or the beginning of the 20th century. Dimensions: Length: 16.2 cm Width: 12.2 cm Height: 7.5 cm Good condition. The photo of the lid shows a mark on the right side; it is in fact a simple reflection of light. The box still has its original silk upholstery with slight marks of time. Please note that I respond to all requests for my objects.
