Barthelemy Raymond (1833-1902), Shepherd Playing With A Kid, Important Bronze Group
Important bronze group with medal patina representing a shepherd playing with a kid, it is signed Raymond Barthélemy on the circular base. Weight 22.6 kg BARTHELEMY Raymond (1833-1902) student in 1857 at the school of fine arts in Paris, he exhibited at the Salon from 1859 and received important prizes there in 1860, 1867, 1869 and 1889. The purchasing service for living artists acquired in 1868, the creation entitled "Shepherd playing with a kid", a bronze sculpture of 182 kg, which the artist made in Rome in 1866. This work was entrusted in 1931 as a deposit to the commune of Neuvic, it has adorned the fountain of Chevrier there since 1987.
