"Painted Sheet Metal Tray, Landscape Decor – Directoire Period"
Hand-painted central decoration depicting a lively landscape. This medallion is framed by a gilded frieze depicting a garland of vine branches, bunches of grapes, and stylized leaves, made with gold leaf. The background is carmine red. The inside of the rim features a stylized garland decoration. Sheet metal turned around the handles and the top itself. Two cut-out side grips are integrated into the sheet metal. The back of the top is painted black. Original paint visible, with wear and light cracks.
