Rare Grand Tour krater in Chinese style with a pastose cartouche on the visible face. It depicts pheasants in an idealized pond landscape. On the back, gold plant painting. The pot-bellied vase has projecting Ionic handles on the sides. The original decoration has been lost in the lower part, as the vase was probably planted. Probably Naples, mid-19th century.
