An early 19th century rectangular serving dish or platter in Bordeaux faience, made at the Johnston factory, later Johnston et Vieillard.
The blue on white printed decor is from the 'Turc' series.
It measures 37cm x 30cm
Note a small scratch or firing flaw near the top of the platter. Signed on the back: David Johnston & Co.
This backstamp was used between 1834 and 1845.
