A rare Staffordshire ceramic jug by George Frederick Bowers, c.1857, commemorating the UK‑France‑Ottoman alliance of the Crimean War. Transfer‑printed and hand‑painted in vibrant enamels with a scalloped rim, gilded rope‑twist handle, flags labeled Alma, Inkerman, Balaclava, Sebastopol, Silistria, Kalafat, royal arms, and patriotic mottos. Dedicated to Sam Harolding (b.1855), base marked “GFB” within a Staffordshire Knot.

Dimensions: 20 cm H × 20 cm W × 15 cm D; Weight: 874 g

Condition: Tiny chip at base, slight enamel yellowing, rim gilding scuffs, minor paint losses, no cracks, no restoration.
