Pouf in carved and gilded wood, rope model. A similar pouf is kept at the Metropolitan Museum in New York. Another is in the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris and several others at the Palais de Compiègne. These seats are attributed to AME Fournier, upholsterer in Paris in 1850. Some repairs to the gilding. Good general condition. H: 45 cm Diam: 52 cm
