Object description :

"Pair Of Louis XVI Candlesticks, Early 19th Century."

Pair of chased and gilded bronze stem candlesticks. The stepped base is decorated with acanthus, quatrefoils, and amatis, the shaft is fluted with asparagus, drapes, and a denticulated crown. The pedestal socket is decorated with laurels, acanthus, and a string of pearls. Early 19th century. Minor wear to the gilding and one stem has been replaced. Very good quality.
