"Louis XVI Period Chiffonniere Table In Marquetry "
Elegant chiffonier table also serving as a writing desk from the 18th century in the Transition style in rosewood and violet marquetry. Resting on four arched legs finished with chiseled gilt bronze sabots. The base is relieved by a shelf acting as a spacer. The cabinet is fretwork and marquetry on all four sides. On the front, the two drawers with their gilt bronze keyholes have retained their period locks, functional with their original key! A small leather-covered pull decorated with small irons, serves as a reading light or writing desk! It is housed under the red griotte marble top surrounded by an openwork bronze gallery. The whole is in excellent condition!
