Object description :

"Ecce Homo Framed"
We are offering for sale today a small painting called Ecce Homo, a Latin expression meaning "behold the man". This is the expression attributed to Pontius Pilate, Roman governor of Judea, when Christ was brought to him before his judgment. Christ is always represented with a crown of thorns on his head. Our small oil on canvas is mounted on cardboard (visible on the back) and was sewn onto this cardboard (see photos). Stucco frame perfectly in harmony with our painting. Very beautiful expression of this representation of Christ from the 18th century, apparently given the cracking. Very good condition. Shipping extra
