Cavalry Pistol, Model Year XIII, From The Imperial Manufacture Of Charleville, 1st Empire

Walnut mount with short barrel, wood hallmarked "C" crowned, "D" crowned, XIII (///) and reception stamp dated 8bre (October) 1813 side of the counter-plate (hallmarked inside), with all brass fittings hallmarked with "T" in a crown of the reviser of François Tisseron in Charleville, 1796-1815. Flintlock signed "Manufre Imple de Charleville" hallmarked with the hallmarked C in a diamond of Jean Louis Compas reviser at the factory from 1812 to 1815. Barrel 20 cm long, dated "1813" on the left side, an S under a star for Inspector Achille Sauvé in post from 1812 to 1813, a starred C and RF on the right, 24 cm with the breech tail, hallmarked "B" in an oval for the controller Étienne Breuil, in Charleville from 1806 to 1821. Breech tail marked “Mle an 13”. Iron ramrod with nail head stamped P. Total length 35.5 cm. Caliber 18 mm. France. First Empire.
