Joseph Posenaer, 1876-1935, Belgian painter of landscapes, genre scenes, figure compositions and portraits. He was a pupil of Jean-Baptist Michiels and Frans Lauwers at the Antwerp Academy and the NHISKA. Second Prix de Rome 1901. He worked in Italy and Spain. Secretary of the Cercle Als Ik kan. He was a professor at the Antwerp Academy. Works in the Antwerp Museum. Artist listed in Bénézit, Arto and Piron, listed on Artprice, Artnet, Akoun, etc...
