Elegant and large dish in glazed earthenware, made in Italy in the 17th century during the Baroque period, probably from the region of Faenza or Urbino, famous centers of majolica production. This piece features a cobalt blue monochrome decoration, centered around a finely executed heraldic coat of arms, surmounted by a crowned helmet and a crest in the form of a stylized bird. The coat of arms supported by two animals, a heron and a greyhound, is framed by volutes, arabesques and plant motifs typical of the Italian Baroque. Two mottoes inscribed on banners "Pietà et Fédeltà" Piety and Fidelity confirm the nobility of the order. Italy, 17th century. Very good general condition.
