Born in 1919 in Jerusalem, Hanna Ben Dov studied at the Bezalel School of Art in her hometown, then at the Camberwell Art School in London, before moving to Paris in 1948. Upon her arrival, she participated in numerous group exhibitions, Salon d'Automne, Salon des moins de 30 ans, des Tuileries, Réalités Nouvelles...
Numerous solo exhibitions were dedicated to her both in Paris and abroad: Copenhagen, Antwerp, Jerusalem, New York... She is present in numerous museums.
Hanna Ben Dov is part of the second School of Paris. A figurative expressionist until the end of the 1970s, she then adopted an abstract lyricism in the tradition of Monet with her friend Joan Mitchell.
