Louis Amable Crapelet. (1822-1867). Scene of fishermen in Etretat. Watercolor with gouache highlights circa 1850. Crapelet, orientalist painter and student of Corot, known for his landscapes of Egypt and the Middle East. Here he presents us with a beautiful genre scene of the Normandy coast. Signed and located Etretat but it is likely that it is Yport. 14.5 x 9.5 cm. Unframed.
