"Virgin In Majesty Carrying The Child"
Seated Virgin, called Virgin in Majesty, carrying her child on her knees, period late 17th century-early 18th century in carved oak. France ? Northern Europe ? Made from a single piece of wood. The Virgin and Child, both crowned, wear a mantle under which appears the dress with symmetrical folds. The child blesses with his right hand (wear on the fingers) and holds a book in his left hand. Cracks due to time, the whole remains solid. Natural patina of the oak. Note: discreet smiles of the Virgin and Child. Weight: 9kgs 710 Delivery: €50 for mainland France.
