"Wolfers – Louis XVI Style Silver Vermeil Jardiniere With Goat Head And Garland Decoration"
Wolfers – Louis XVI style jardinière in silver gilt, decorated with goat heads and garlands Important oval Louis XVI style jardinière in solid silver gilt 833/1000, made by the prestigious Wolfers Frères house in Brussels. The frame has a very rich openwork decoration: each side is adorned with leafy garlands, knotted ribbons and blank medallions, while the corners are enlivened with powerful, finely chiseled goat heads, topped with antique vases connected by draperies. The whole is supported by four fluted feet and punctuated by a twisted upper frieze. The interior glasswork, finely cut in a radiant star, is perfectly fitted; an old restoration has been carried out there, discreet and without impact on use.
