Born in Madrid on August 11, 1942, he died in Rennes on July 9, 2019. In 1956, he joined his father, a Republican who had fled the Franco regime in 1947, in Rennes, where he spent most of his life. After studying at the École Régionale des Beaux-Arts in Rennes, he graduated in painting in 1962. He founded the Atelier des Trois with his brother Antonio and his sister-in-law Clotilde Vautier, also painters, and exhibited together in numerous Breton galleries from the 1960s.
