Elegant decorative fruit basket in glazed ceramic, openwork shape, made by Jérôme Massier, renowned ceramist from Vallauris, active at the end of the 19th century. This rare piece has a finely worked relief braiding and covered with a deep red enamel (oxblood), luminous and homogeneous. The base bears the hollow signature: "Jérôme Massier Vallauris (AM)." Vallauris, France circa 1930. Some wear from use.
