Object description :

"Three Ancient Gold Children’s Rings. Roman, 1st - 2nd Century Ad."
Three ancient gold children’s rings.

Roman, 1st - 2nd century AD.

The largest gold ring is set with a garnet intaglio with a male figure, it measures 1.3 x 1.1 x 0.6cm and weighs 1.6 grams.

The second gold ring is set with a low cabochon emerald, it measures 1.3 x 1.1 x 0.5cm and weighs 1.1 grams.

The smallest gold ring is set with a garnet intaglio of an amphora, it measures 1 x 0.8 x 0.5cm and weighs 0.8 grams.

These incredibly precious, tiny rings are all too small to wear and do not fit on a ring stick; however, they would be beautiful worn as an ensemble on a necklace or displayed as exquisite miniature works of art on the included display stand.
