The sculpture represents a man driving a long stake into a rock. Bronze of exceptional quality, very beautiful nuanced green patina. This 96cm version is very rare to find, very wide base representing a rock. Stamp of the founder LN Paris JL Jules Verschneider (1872-1943) was a French sculptor, his work was part of the sculpture event of the Art competition of the 1924 Summer Olympics. He exhibited at the salon from 1905, the effort dates from 1913. Listed in the Kjellberg. Foundry: the nephews of Jules Lehmann is a Parisian Art foundry in the Art Deco period of the 1920s to 1930s. The foundry produced works by renowned artists such as Chiparus, Roux, le Faguays, Colinet etc. Production ended in the 1940s.
