Antique book of very fine workmanship, interesting copy particularly well bound, binding in full red morocco decorated on the covers with beautiful gilt plates "à l'éventail", a handwritten note in pencil attributing it to the famous bookbinder Derôme. Spine with well-decorated compartments, wear and minor defects to the binding without loss, gilt edges. Very fine endpapers of dominoté paper.
Inside with scattered foxing, the work is nicely illustrated with a beautiful engraved frontispiece and small vignettes including some medallion engravings for the months of the year. Note a page with a small restored tear (acidification of the paper), traces of old water stains without gravity.
Very complete, a charming rare model of binding, in the style of the most prestigious gift books and almanacs.
