Registered shipping to France: €15 Or free hand delivery to the Paris Manufacture Royale de Sèvres Portrait of Louis XVIII in medallion Biscuit in imitation of Wedgwood Signed on the shoulder by the sculptor Alexandre Brachard (active until 1827) Dimensions: H. 16; W. 14.2 (cm.) This biscuit portrait on a textile background is framed in a gilded brass insert, itself surrounded by a beautiful turned blackened wooden frame. Everything is probably original. This portrait of Louis XVIII is in tondo, the bust is turned to the left. The king is represented in uniform and wearing multiple symbols of power: orders of Saint-Louis, the Legion of Honor as well as the Holy Spirit. The quality of the work in the finery or the hair amply explains the reputation of the Manufacture at the beginning of the 19th century.
