Tchokwe Fetish, Angola
Fetish depicting a female figure standing on a round base. One hand is placed above the genitals while the other is on the torso with the thumb raised. Small breasts are depicted. The facial expression is hieratic. The hairstyle is entirely covered with a black agglomerate partially hidden by pieces of animal skin. Her neck is also adorned with leather straps and a cowrie necklace.
The patina is dense, deep, and thick in places.
