Pair Of Floral Composition Paintings - Surian

Elegant pair of oil on canvas paintings depicting sumptuous floral arrangements in glass vases. Each painting is presented in a magnificent, richly decorated period gilt frame. The painting on the left (visible on the left in the first photo) offers a luminous spring composition in fresh hues, highlighting old roses, purple lilacs, snowballs (viburnum) and yellow acacia flowers. The second, more autumnal painting (on the right of the photo) presents a generous bouquet in warmer tones, dominated by roses, accompanied by peonies and abundant foliage. Both works are signed Surian in the lower right. Paintings circa 1880
