Pair of patinated bronze busts. Cicero and Demosthenes. Early 19th century. Cylindrical base in blue Turquin marble on a molded gilt bronze base decorated with a row of pearls and ropes. Gilt bronze pedestal under the busts. A gilt bronze plaque is riveted to the marble columns and mentions the names of the philosophers. It is embellished and highlighted with a chain.
