Oval-shaped coffee table in solid mahogany and mahogany veneer. It opens to a drawer in the belt forming a writing desk. Fluted sheath base joined by a crotch top finished with tapered legs. White veined marble top surrounded by a gallery. Stamped Victor Jean Gabriel CHAVIGNAU, Master on January 23, 1787. Louis XVI period Victor Jean Gabriel CHAVIGNAU began his career as a free worker, established rue de Charonne.
