"Moustier, Ferrat Brothers Factory: Covered Sauceboat"
The Ferrat brothers' factory was founded in 1763 by two already experienced potters. They became famous for their Chinese decorations, inspired by Pillement, and for pieces with decorations inspired by Eastern earthenware. Our sauceboat borrows from these, with this superb flower decoration in red, pink, and green. The sauceboat is attached to its display stand, and has a lid nicely fitted with a handle in the shape of a wild strawberry. We are in a fully Louis XV decor. The piece, although it has a few tiny chips, is in very good condition.
