Object description :

"Vintage Sterling Silver Charm Bracelet With Bible And Windmill, 18 Sculpted Charms, C. 1950s"
Vintage sterling silver charm bracelet with 18 sculpted charms including Bible and hidden compartments, c. 1950sThis beautifully crafted vintage sterling silver charm bracelet is a superb example of mid-20th-century narrative jewellery, composed of a solid curb link chain and an exceptional selection of 18 individually sculpted charms. It weighs an impressive 60 grams, reflecting its high silver content and generous design. Each charm is a miniature sculpture, rendered with meticulous attention to detail using traditional silversmithing techniques. The bracelet measures 16 cm in length and secures with a classic spring clasp. The collection of charms includes miniature figurines, buildings, animals, and symbolic objects, but two stand out for their interactive craftsmanship:
  • One is a Bible charm, which opens to reveal two tiny printed pages—one displaying The Lord’s Prayer, and the other Psalm 23: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” These printed elements are beautifully preserved and rare in charm jewellery of this period.
  • The second is a delightful windmill charm that opens to reveal a tiny Dutch clog hidden inside—an exquisite detail referencing Dutch folk motifs.
  • The design allows for graceful movement and layering, with each charm contributing to a richly textured visual story. The silver has developed a light natural patina, enhancing the vintage character and sculptural features of each charm.Whether worn as a striking personal accessory or kept as a collectible of miniature silver art, this bracelet makes a meaningful gift or addition to any collection of vintage silver jewellery, charm bracelets, or Christian devotional objects.Measurements
