Gouache depicting the quays of a channel in a port. Signed lower left, it is framed in a modern frame without which it measures 11.7x15.8 cm. Noël Vesper (1882-1944) was born in Mérindol in the Vaud region. A Protestant pastor, writer, and painter, he settled in France where he restored the Château de Lourmarin.
