"jetty Of Flowers" Claude Sibuet

Claude Marie SIBUET was born in Lyon in 1831. He died in 1879. He was a student of Reignier at the Beaux-Arts in Lyon from 1849 to 1850. He exhibited landscapes, portraits and especially flowers in Lyon from 1854. This work from 1878 represents a pier of wild flowers in fresh and bright colors. Claude Sibuet appears in the book "La peinture lyonnaise au 19ème siècle" by Elisabeth Hardouin Fugier and Etienne Grafe. The painting is highlighted by a channel frame with corners in wood and stucco gilded with gold leaf. The dimensions with the frame are 40 cm x 53 cm.
