Miniature: Portrait Of A Lady Of Quality

Miniature from the beginning of the 19th century painted in gouache, round in shape, representing a lady of quality in bust. Her oval face with a light complexion is adorned with curls fashionable at that time. She looks at us shyly with her large black eyes and wears a blue dress with a neckline trimmed with fine lace. The miniature is circled in gold on 4mm. On the reverse a handwritten inscription, unfortunately partially erased, allows us to read the date of 1774, perhaps her date of birth, the rest of the writing is difficult to decipher. Presence of a suspension ring. D: 6.5cm Good condition.
